UNU is the “unknown”. The anonymous user – or vector – of the city. A social character who lives covered in a film of anonymity. Singular. Unique. Unknown. No one in general. Everyone in particular.

We are UNU, an architecture practice founded in Bucharest, Romania by partners Petra Bodea and Sorin Bompa. Prior to establishing UNU, the partners gained extensive professional experience at home and abroad, having more than 10 years of experience working on local and international projects of great complexity and diversity.

Petra Bodea (CV) worked, between 2014 and 2021, at the renowned romanian architectural practice ADNBA in Bucharest, where she was project lead for an extensive range of projects including: Marmura Residence, Urban Spaces 2 – Mumuleanu Housing and Urban Spaces 5 – Sfintii Voievozi.

Sorin Bompa (CV) worked at Mecanoo Architects in Delft, The Netherlands between 2014-2023 on a diverse range of projects, among which: New York Public Library Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library in New York, USA, Mondorf-les-Bain Velodrome and Sports Complex in Luxembourg and the European Investment Bank Headquarters as well in Luxembourg.

UNU works on projects of a range of scales across the fields of architecture, interior and landscape design and is always looking for new creative opportunities. Some of our clients: Urban Spaces, Alesonor / Amber Forest.
